Palau Sant Jordi Barcelona, Sports and Concerts at its finestThe Palau Sant Jordi is the Palace of Sports of Barcelona. It is located at the 'Olympic Ring' on the mountain of Montjuic and was built for the Olympic Games of Barcelona in 1992. The Palau Sant Jordi, designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki (He also has designed the main entrance to the Caixa Forum). It is considered to be the most beautiful building of the 'Olympic Ring' of Montjuic. It is also the most used and multifunctional instalation of the whole city as it is not only the home for sporting events. But also hosts concerts, theatrical performances and social gatherings. It has a capacity of 17.000 spectators for sporting events while the capacity is over 24.000 spectators for concerts.
TransportMetro Lines 1 and 3 stop at the station Plaza España from where you can easily access the Palau Sant Jordi. Bus Lines 50 and 61 stop close the Palau Sant Jordi.
